Work day 4
This morning we went to the local coffee shop at the Brown bookstore to work. Yesterday, Aaron was working on his electronics and I sewed a full teddybear to understand the stitching methods behind it. After working for 8 hours straight in our rooms, we realized the importance of getting some fresh air.
At the coffee shop, I was looking through different Linkedin profiles (or someone called cyberstalking) and became friends with couple people. They all shared different stories in diabetes and wanted to help us in many directions. I guess friendly cyberstalking is not a bad thing at all :)
AMAZING brainstorming with Jen Long for almost 3 hours! We got crazy new ideas to prototype and got tons of bear fabrics!
Then, we went to this super delicious venezuelan restaurant, La Arepa, with Jen and Brian (her husband). Their corn cakes (it’s like pita with meat, beans, avocados, and others inside) were mind-blowing. We got one each… but Aaron ordered more.
After dinner, we went to RISD speaker series event. Juan Enriquez was the keynote speaker. He talked about the future of human gene coding and shared many forward-thinking ideas. We got to say hi to John Maeda and grabbed drinks with our new RISD friends.
Now we are back. We saw an episode of Modern Family.
Aaron had couple Skype meeting with his professors… I hope I get to have mine soon. Started learning Processing for Jerry. Can’t wait to learn more about this programming language and become good at it.
Every day is Jerry day. And I love it!
